Padmashali Trust ("Trust", "we", "us", or "our") operates the Padmashali Trust mobile application and related services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, protect, and manage personal information when you register for or use our application.

By registering for or using the Padmashali Trust application, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that users provide when registering for an account and when using specific services available through the application. The information collected depends on the service used.

1.1 Registration Information

When you create an account, we may collect:

  • Surname
  • Contact/mobile number
  • Email address
  • Password for account authentication
  • State
  • District
  • Mandal
  • Profile picture
  • Confirmation that you have accepted the Terms and Conditions

Your password is used to authenticate your account. You should keep your password confidential and should not share it with another person.

1.2 Family ID Card Information

When you use the Family ID Card service, we may collect information required to create and manage the family card, including:

  • Family head details
  • Aadhaar-related information, where provided for the service
  • Voter ID-related information, where provided for the service
  • Details of family members
  • Aadhaar-related information of family members, where provided
  • Voter ID-related information of family members, where provided
  • Information required to process the Family ID Card application
  • Payment and transaction information related to the service
Important: Users should provide Aadhaar, Voter ID and other personal information only when required for the relevant Trust service and only when they are authorized to provide that information.

1.3 Marriage Portal Information

When you create or use a marriage profile, we may collect:

  • Name and personal profile details
  • Mobile number
  • Email address
  • State, district and mandal
  • Raasi and Nakshatram
  • Marriage-related profile information
  • Profile photographs uploaded by the user
  • Payment and transaction information related to the service

Marriage profile information and photographs may be displayed to authorized users of the Marriage Portal as part of the service functionality. Users are responsible for ensuring that they have permission to upload information or photographs relating to another person.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected through the application to:

  • Create and manage user accounts
  • Authenticate users and provide secure account access
  • Provide Padmashali Trust services
  • Create and manage Family ID Cards
  • Manage family-related information
  • Provide Marriage Portal services
  • Create and manage marriage profiles
  • Display marriage profiles and photographs where applicable
  • Process service-related payments
  • Send relevant service and Trust notifications
  • Respond to support requests and user queries
  • Verify information when required for Trust services
  • Maintain application security and prevent misuse
  • Improve application functionality and user experience

3. Sensitive Personal Information

Some services may require sensitive personal information, including Aadhaar-related information, Voter ID-related information, family details, contact information and photographs.

Such information is collected for the specific purpose of providing the relevant Trust service. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal and sensitive information against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration or loss.

4. Password and Account Security

Passwords are used for authentication and account access. Users are responsible for keeping their account credentials confidential.

We use reasonable security practices to protect account information and restrict unauthorized access. However, no electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

5. Payment Information

Certain services, including the Family ID Card and Marriage Portal, may require payment of applicable service charges.

Payments may be processed through third-party payment service providers. Payment information may therefore be handled by the applicable payment provider according to its own privacy policy and security practices.

We may retain transaction-related information such as payment status, transaction/reference ID, amount, date and the service associated with the transaction for service management, verification, accounting and support purposes.

6. Sharing of Information

We may share personal information when reasonably necessary to provide our services, operate the application, process transactions, comply with legal requirements, or protect the security and rights of the Trust and its users.

Information may be shared with:

  • Authorized Trust personnel who require access to provide Trust services
  • Service providers supporting application functionality
  • Payment service providers for applicable transactions
  • Technical or hosting providers where necessary to operate the application
  • Government authorities or law-enforcement agencies where required by applicable law

We do not sell users' personal information to third parties.

7. Data Security and Handling

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the information we handle. These measures are intended to protect personal and sensitive information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, misuse or loss.

Our data-handling practices include, where applicable:

  • Secure transmission between the application and our servers
  • Authentication and access controls

  • Server-side security controls

Access to personal and sensitive information is limited to authorized persons who need the information to provide or manage Trust services.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the requested Trust services, maintain legitimate business and administrative records, comply with applicable legal requirements, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security.

When information is no longer required for these purposes, we will take reasonable steps to delete or securely dispose of it, subject to applicable legal, regulatory, accounting or legitimate operational requirements.

For security, the deletion request process verifies the user's account details before accepting the request. The Trust team may review the request for pending services, transactions, disputes, legal requirements or other legitimate reasons for retaining certain information.

Where there is no legitimate reason to retain the information, the account and applicable personal information will be deleted or otherwise removed from our active records. Information that must be retained by law or for legitimate financial, accounting, security or dispute-resolution purposes may be retained for the required period.

10. Notifications

The application may send notifications relating to account information, Trust announcements, Family ID services, Marriage Portal services, payment or service updates, support tickets and other relevant Trust services.

Users may manage notification permissions through their device settings, where supported.

11. Third-Party Services

The application may use third-party services to support application functionality, notifications, payment processing, hosting or other technical services.

These third-party providers may process information according to their own privacy policies and applicable terms.

12. Future Services

The Padmashali Trust application may introduce additional services in the future, including employment services, community services, business services and other welfare-related services.

Services that are not currently available in the application are not considered active services under this Privacy Policy. If a future service requires collection or use of additional categories of personal information, we may update this Privacy Policy to explain the relevant data practices.

13. Children's Privacy

The application is intended for users who are legally able to register and provide the information required for the relevant services.

We do not knowingly request personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If we become aware that personal information has been collected from a child in circumstances where collection is not permitted, we will take reasonable steps to address the situation.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our application, services, technology, legal requirements or data practices.
